Objective:
A Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Procedure Authorization will be responsible for assisting patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure a smooth and efficient authorization workflow.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Service all incoming calls from patients, facilities, hospitals, imaging centers, insurance companies, and providers.
Provide clear and accurate information to patients regarding the authorization process, requirements, and timelines.
Address and resolve patient concerns or issues related to procedure authorization promptly and professionally.
Escalate concerns as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or G.
E.
D.
1 year of healthcare customer service experience.
Experience with CPT Coding and ICD10 preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong drive and work ethic; ability to work independently as well in a small team, carry out assignments to completion.
Demonstrating resilience in the face of difficulties.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Organized with attention to detail.
